With no signup or card details required, users authenticate using their bank’s usual ID method, which is not only convenient and secure but provides merchants with fast fund settlement, zero chargebacks, and reduced costs.
Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, Brite operates across 27 European markets, utilising local payment rails, open banking, and our own proprietary infrastructure, Brite Instant Payments Network (IPN).
The Role: Senior HR Business Partner
Are you an experienced HR professional seeking your next big challenge in one of Europe’s most exciting fintech environments? As a Fullstack HR Business Partner at Brite Payments, you will step into a role with a broad mandate and significant ownership. We call this role "Fullstack" because you will handle the entire HR spectrum – from deep strategic partnerships with leadership to hands-on operational execution.
While your primary focus will be on our Swedish operations, you will work in a distinctly global and distributed environment. You will collaborate closely with the rest of the People team and our managers to support office-based teams, remote employees, and consultants across various countries. To support our local processes and payroll, we have established partners in all countries where we operate.
As this role includes responsibility for our Stockholm office and providing close support to the local team, the position requires presence at the office four days a week. You will report directly to our People Director.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership: Act as a strategic sounding board for managers and leadership in Stockholm, while actively participating in global HR initiatives together with the People team.
Global HR Administration & Systems: Take ownership of driving and maintaining our global HRIS, Personio, ensuring high data quality for all employment types (employees and consultants).
Payroll & Partner Management: Coordinate payroll for Sweden via our local payroll partner and collaborate with international partners to ensure seamless HR support and payroll across all regions.
Pay Transparency (EU Directive): Lead the implementation and management of processes related to the EU Pay Transparency Directive, ensuring fair and transparent salary structures.
Office Management & Culture: Take full responsibility for our office at Östermalm, ensuring it is an inspiring space that reflects our company culture, while fostering inclusion for our remote-based colleagues.
People Strategy & Onboarding: Ensure a "Brite" start for new hires regardless of geography, and drive projects within talent management and occupational health and safety (SAM).
Labor Law: Serve as our internal expert on Swedish labor law (LAS, MBL) and manage union relations as required.
AI-powered tools and automation: Proactively identify and implement to streamline all HR processes. From recruitment and documentation to internal communication and data analysis. Ensuring a highly efficient and modern People function.
Are you a Brite mind?
We are looking for a down-to-earth, driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment where no task is too big or too small. You are a natural relationship builder who can balance empathy with business acumen and a "hands-on" person who loves building structures in an evolving environment.
Qualifications
Experience: You have 5–7 years of experience in broad HR roles. It is mandatory that you have worked within Tech and have experience from a scale-up journey.
Systems: Experience working with Personio or similar modern global HRIS is a requirement.
Competence: You hold a university degree (HR/PA or Law) and possess very strong practical knowledge of Swedish labor law. Experience in international HR administration for both employees and consultants is a merit.
Fullstack Mindset: You are comfortable transitioning from strategic board-level discussions to solving practical operational details at the office.
Languages: Native-level fluency in Swedish and professional-level English is a requirement to collaborate effectively with colleagues across Sweden, Malta, Malaga, Germany, the UK, and beyond.
Recruitment Experience: Proven experience in supporting end-to-end recruitment processes.
Tech-Savvy & AI-driven: You are a modern HR professional who naturally integrates AI and automation into your daily work to increase productivity and stay ahead of the curve in HR tech.

About us
We are Brite.
Brite is a second generation FinTech challenger based in Stockholm. Working for first generation fintech companies before founding Brite, our people have previously been part of building European FinTech success stories such as Klarna, Qliro, Trustly, and SOFORT, to name a few. Together we are now working to bring you modern payment solutions that are more accessible and more affordable.
We are developers.
The biggest group of people here at Brite are developers. We want to drive development in the FinTech sector. Our technical platform is open-sourced. That way, other developers can build their solutions on the same platform that we use daily.
Cash is king no more.
Today, practically all financial transactions are handled digitally. At Brite we build on the foundation laid by European payment companies who shook the status quo in the early 2000s, to create payments that are secure, reliable, and affordable. So, whether you are a bank, an insurance company, online retailer, video game company, or something else, we are bold enough to say that your future is Brite.
