Software Engineer | Data Solutions
Join Brite’s Data Solutions to architect a fresh, serverless data platform on GCP. Own ideas from ideation to deployment, collaborate, and ship high-impact data products.
About Brite
Founded in 2019, Brite Payments is a Swedish fintech and a leader in Instant Account-to-Account (A2A) payments. With connections to over 3,800+ banks, Brite enables consumers to pay directly from their bank account (also known as Pay by Bank) in real-time.
With no signup or card details required, users authenticate using their bank’s usual ID method, which is not only convenient and secure but provides merchants with fast fund settlement, zero chargebacks, and reduced costs.
Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, Brite operates across 27 European markets, utilising local payment rails, open banking, and our own proprietary infrastructure, Brite Instant Payments Network (IPN).

The mission
Join the Data Solutions team at Brite! We aren't just maintaining pipelines; we are architecting the future of our data ecosystem. Having launched just a year ago, we occupy the perfect sweet spot: we’ve moved past the initial "blank page" phase, yet we are entirely free from legacy debt. If you have a passion for building high-impact data products from the ground up using a modern, serverless stack on GCP, this is your stage.
What we’re looking for
We need a builder who thrives in an iterative environment. You won't just be executing tickets; you’ll be shaping our technical DNA. We value:
True Ownership: You don’t just write code; you and the team own the solution from ideation to deployment.
Analytical Rigor: You enjoy deconstructing complex data problems to find elegant, scalable solutions.
The Power of "We": You believe that while individual talent is great, the best architecture is born from collaboration and collective brainpower.
Requirements
Experience: 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, specifically building and deploying cloud-native services.
The Stack: Deep proficiency in Python and a "modern-first" approach to development.
Autonomy: A proactive mindset and the ability to navigate a high degree of freedom with responsibility.
Presence: A desire to collaborate in person with our team at our Stockholm office. We are working on-site at least 3 days per week.
Meritorious
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its ecosystem.
A background in serverless architectures and building for the cloud.

About us
We are Brite.
Brite is a second generation FinTech challenger based in Stockholm. Working for first generation fintech companies before founding Brite, our people have previously been part of building European FinTech success stories such as Klarna, Qliro, Trustly, and SOFORT, to name a few. Together we are now working to bring you modern payment solutions that are more accessible and more affordable.
We are developers.
The biggest group of people here at Brite are developers. We want to drive development in the FinTech sector. Our technical platform is open-sourced. That way, other developers can build their solutions on the same platform that we use daily.
Cash is king no more.
Today, practically all financial transactions are handled digitally. At Brite we build on the foundation laid by European payment companies who shook the status quo in the early 2000s, to create payments that are secure, reliable, and affordable. So, whether you are a bank, an insurance company, online retailer, video game company, or something else, we are bold enough to say that your future is Brite.
